BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX Cosmetic is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment that minimizes frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet by relaxing the facial muscles that cause the wrinkles. BOTOX is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium and is injected through a tiny needle into the skin. Botox is a very simple and safe procedure that has been used successfully for many years. And, when treatments are done properly, the result is a natural, more youthful expression and a smoother, more tranquil facial appearance. Both men and women can benefit from Botox treatments, no matter what their age, ethnicity or skin color.

How does Botox work?

A small amount of the product is injected into the desired treatment area, through a very thin needle, partially blocking the nerve impulses to the facial muscles. Botox paralyzes the muscles that cause expression lines to form. The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes and requires no recovery time. There will be a slight reddening of the treated area for about two to six hours after the injection, but can easily be covered with makeup, if desired. For most patients, initial Botox treatments, when used for wrinkles and expression lines, typically last 3 to 6 months. Additional treatments may have more lasting results, sometimes up to a year.

Note: Botox Cosmetic will not tighten skin that is sagging, or reduce wrinkles and lines that are the result of sun exposure, lack of moisture or are not muscle related. Dermal Fillers

You may be asking yourself, “What is a dermal filler?” A dermal filler is a product that is injected or placed into the skin through a tiny needle. Dermal fillers are used to contour and add volume to various parts of the face. They can also correct imperfections like acne scars, wrinkles, furrows, contour depressions, and fine lines. Some are used to build cheekbones, change facial contours, and augment lips.

Among the most effectively treated areas are the nasolabial folds - those smile lines or “parentheses” that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth, creases around the mouth and lips, marionette lines and sunken under eye appearances (tear troughs).

The dermal fillers utilized at Titus Medical Spa consist of natural substances found in your body, allowing for a medically safe way to provide volume and add fullness to your skin. Our Dermal Fillers include Juvederm™, Radiesse®,

Juvéderm™

Juvéderm^tm is a “next-generation” injectable gel and represents the latest advance in hyaluronic acid cosmetic dermal filler technology. As we age, our skin changes and loss of natural volume can result in wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm is a non-surgical treatment that can be helpful to reduce the signs of aging and also dramatically reduce moderate to severe nasolabial folds (smile lines) and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Juvéderm, and other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are proven to be safe and effective for men and women of any ethnicity or skin color.

How does Juvéderm work?

Juvéderm is gently injected under the skin to instantly add volume and fill in the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth. Juvéderm can also be used on other areas of your face, where deep folds or wrinkles can occur. The injection itself usually takes only about 15 minutes with minimal recovery or downtime. After treatment, some temporary injection-related reactions may occur, which are usually mild to moderate and should clear up in seven days or less. Reactions may include redness, pain, firmness, swelling, and bumps. The effects of Juvéderm treatments last nine to twelve months.

Radiesse®

Radiesse is a cosmetic dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres, suspended in a smooth water based gel carrier. Radiesse is part of the “next generation” of dermal fillers that restore volume and fullness to facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines), to build cheekbones, and to augment jaw lines. It can also be used to correct the signs of aging or add contours to other areas of the face, giving you soft, natural-looking results. Once injected into the skin, it also stimulates the natural production of new collagen, helping to build your skin’s natural foundation. Radiesse is proven to be safe and effective for men and women of any ethnicity or skin color.

How does Radiesse work?

Radiesse is a cosmetic dermal filler that is injected into the skin through a tiny needle. Treatments may take 15 minutes or longer, depending upon the area(s) being treated. Some bruising, bleeding or swelling may occur at the injection site, which may last up to two weeks. Most patients enjoy the results from their Radiesse treatment for nine to twelve months.

Elevess™

Elevess is a comfortable, affordable, and long-lasting wrinkle correction dermal filler. It is a hyaluronic acid-based gel, which also contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that improves patient comfort during and after the injection procedure. It is a non-surgical treatment and is used to fill out facial wrinkles, such as smile lines, and other folds and wrinkles on your face, giving you smoother, younger-looking skin. Elevess and other hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are proven to be safe and effective for men and women of any ethnicity or skin color.

How does Elevess work?

Elevess is injected directly into the skin through a very thin needle. It also contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid and has a unique patented HA cross-linker in the formulation that makes the treatments long lasting. Some bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness, itching and nodule (small bumps) formations may occur after injection and will normally last less than seven days. The affects of Elevess treatments usually last about six months.
