Medical Facial
Our Medical Facial is an intensive facial treatment and is very helpful in controlling acne. Our experienced aestheticians thoroughly assess each client’s skin and can design a customized medical facial that meets your needs. First, we soften and exfoliate the skin, removing the dead skin cells that clog pores, which can cause acne breakouts. Then, through extraction techniques, we can address particular acne-prone areas, ultimately revealing a clearer, healthier complexion.
Microdermabrasion
Mircrodermabrasion is a noninvasive, nonsurgical, procedure that removes the outer, dead layers of the skin safely and effectively, through an exfoliation process. The result is a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tones, discoloration caused by sun damage and age spots. It can also improve acne prone skin, rough skin texture, and hyper pigmentation. We recommend combining our microdermabrasion with a light glycolic chemical peel for maximum results.
Facial Peels
Jessner’s Peel
A Jessner Peel is a treatment that is best used for sun damaged skin, uneven skin tone, and rough textured skin. It is helpful for lightening unevenly pigmented areas of the skin, giving you a more even complexion. Jessner's solution is made from salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol. This peel penetrates into the deeper layers of skin, enabling your skin to peel off more layers, giving you more dramatic results than a light peel can provide. Salicylic Peel
Our Salicylic Peel is a beta hydroxy acid and is used primarily to treat acne, but can also be used to improve fine lines and wrinkles, minor skin discoloration and sun damage. This peel removes bacteria and debris from clogged pores and is an alternative to glycolic peels. The Salicylic Peel is appropriate for all skin types, including combination and oily skin and acne-prone skin. The result is a clearer, smoother, more glowing complexion.
Glycolic Peel
Our Glycolic Peel is made from glycolic acid, and is the most versatile and easily absorbed of the alpha hydroxy acids. It is extremely effective in the treatment of acne, fine lines and wrinkles, and changes in skin pigmentation. It’s also the perfect remedy for dull, dry and lifeless skin. Maintenance for Chemical Peels
Once the initial series of treatments have been completed, periodic maintenance treatments may be necessary. These may be recommended up to every one or two months, depending upon the chemical peel used, the severity of the condition and your lifestyle habits. You should avoid significant exposure to direct sunlight and wear sun block daily to reduce potential complication. Use of tobacco or alcohol can also affect the condition of your skin.
